Mrs. Kalstone has lectured and given grooming demonstrations to dog clubs, grooming associations, trade associations within the pet industry, and humane conferences throughout the United States, England, France, Japan and the Scandinavian countries. She writes a monthly column ("The Grooming Room") for the American Kennel Club's official magazine, Pure-Bred Dogs/American Kennel Gazette, conducts the "I Have a Question About Grooming" feature for Pets/Supplies Marketing magazine, and is the author of four books.
She is a past president of the Greater Pittsburgh Poodle Club and of the Professional Groomers Association. Awards she has received include: All-Japan Poodle Club Award (Tokyo) 1973; Founders Award, National Dog Groomers Association of America, 1975; Achievement Award, Professional Groomers Association, 1976; and Dog Person of the Year Award, National Retail Pet Supply and Groomers Association, 1976.
THE COMPLETE POODLE CLIPPING and GROOMING BOOK was first published in 1968, and has had 14 large printings to date. Named Best Technical Book of the Year by the Dog Writers Association of America. It has been completely revised and reset for this new updated edition.
